The following policies were in place for all articles published through escholarship in Frontiers of Biogeography. Frontiers of Biogeography migrated to a new publisher in 2024, and can be found at https://biogeography.pensoft.net/.
Authors retain the copyright in all articles. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.
Any individual and/or institution can download, read and/or print a copy of any article or the whole journal for non-commercial educational or non-commercial research purposes at any time. This includes an express permission to use articles for non-commercial educational purposes by making any number of copies for course packs or course reserve collections. Following the agreement between the IBS and eScholarship, explicit permission is made to the California Digital Library (CDL) to use the digital assets for non-commercial use in perpetuity. All copies of articles must preserve their copyright notice without modification.
