Abstract
The purpose of this article is to answer the following question: How does idealization and typology in genomre research reverberate through Latin American Indigenous and non-indigenous communties? This question leads us to specify and focus on the ways Indigenous Peoples engage in debates and contestations aboit IPRs and bio-prospecting.
