Abstract
The 2007 conference was held inNew Orleans 14 months post-Katrinaand at the conference facilities of theUniversity of New Orleans on the banksof Lake Pontchartrain. On the drivefrom downtown New Orleans to thevenue, one could clearly see the posthurricanerenovation and urban renewalunderway and detect how long it istaking to see progress towards returningto normal life and routines. Attendeesalso had a chance to see how conferencelife and tourism is gradually comingback in the renowned French Quarter.
