The aim of this journal is to provide a refereed outlet for the increasing amount of high-quality research being done in music scholarship pertaining to Iberia, Latin America, and related areas in Asia, Africa, and the U.S. By welcoming contributions from a variety of disciplinary perspectives and in three different languages, the journal aspires to maximize the opportunities for publication available to scholars at every level of professional development. By publishing in an online format, available free of charge, it is hoped that this research will reach a global audience regardless of ability to pay.
