The UC Santa Barbara Undergraduate Journal of History is a space for undergraduates to share original research and other scholarly works of history.

Raab Writing Fellows Journal

The Raab Writing Fellows Journal, is a showcase for the eponymous program funded by a generous gift from Dr. Diana Raab. The program provides opportunities for mentoring and research in writing to a select group of UCSB undergraduates.

URCA Press is part of the University of California, Santa Barbara Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA). We publish journals and conference proceedings from the University's undergraduate students and collaborators.

URCA is a critical resource for students seeking to engage in transformative experiences that lead to the production of knowledge. As an interdisciplinary hub for undergraduate research, URCA is committed to providing equitable access to research opportunities and fostering a supportive environment for students to develop their skills and advance their academic and professional goals.

We offer a wide range of programs and services designed to guide students through every stage of the research process. Whether students are interested in conducting independent research, working on collaborative projects with faculty members or fellow students, or participating in community-based research, URCA provides the support and resources needed to turn their ideas into reality. Students can find opportunities to engage in research across all disciplines, including the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and engineering.

URCA is dedicated to promoting equity in all aspects of undergraduate research. Through partnerships with campus organizations, URCA seeks to create a more inclusive and diverse research community.

URCA recognizes that the benefits of undergraduate research extend beyond the classroom and can help students develop important skills and competencies that are valued by employers and graduate programs.
