Aim & Scope
The Journal of International Society and Culture is unique in that we seek to promote awareness of issues pertaining to social transformation within the broad field of international relations. To that effect, we seek to publish diverse or even contrarian views on issues of social transformation from the international perspective. Broadening the traditional view of international relations, our publication seeks articles from varied departments such as Environmental Studies, Feminist Studies, and Latin American and Latino Studies – creating a more diverse arena of opinions and research as they pertain to international issues. Moreover, as the flagship academic publication of the humanities and social sciences at UC Santa Cruz, we provide a space, that was previously unavailable, for students at the university to have their voice heard within the academic and broader public audience.
