2D and 3D Acoustic Source Localization Using the AML Algorithm and ENSBox Nodes
Abstract
We present the use of the AML algorithm formulated for isotropic and non-isotrophic 3D acoustic source localization. Then we will discuss the recent efforts on the modifications of the wireless-linked acoustic sensing nodes, called ENSBoxes, to achieve accurate node self-localization and array orientations, all crucially needed for the accurate localization of acoustic source(s). We will summarize extensive field measured data collected at RMBL, Colorado, as well as at UCLA, to confirm the proper operations of the system.
