A Song Below Water

Abstract

In this program note, philosophical ideas about music are presented, as well as an analysis of the piece and techniques used. As a composer, I prefer to describe my musical ideas in order for them to be understood and performed more effectively. Moreover, I may forget the ideas that are behind my composition, and writing these ideas will enable me to follow the development of my composition over time. Additionally, I believe that when composers share their ideas for writing music, it can help other composers to see and explore other approaches. However, I believe that all composers, themselves, should find their own path.
