Florida – Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law and Documentation of Discrimination

Abstract

Florida‟s anti-discrimination law, the Florida Civil Rights Act, does not cover employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. In addition, there has never been an executive order to prohibit these forms of discrimination against state employees. Recent efforts to enact statutory protection have all failed.
