Abstract
SIO Reference 59-32-(1). Certain optical measurements of the atmosphere were made by the Visibility Laboratory, University of California, La Jolla Campus, 21 June 1953, over central ainnesota. These were recorded from daybreak to mid-morning during the time four optically instrumented balloons launched by -ir Force Cambridge Research Center recorded related data at a higher altitude. The data recorded by the Visibility Laboratory are presented herein as a catalogue of the recorded optical measurements as they varied with altitude, time of day, azimuthal angle with reopect to the sun, and meteorological conditions.
