Escape the Lab

You wake up with a pounding headache as you try and collect your thoughts. You have no idea where you are or how you got here. Taking a look at your surroundings, you realize youre in some sort of labratory. Scattered everywhere are random pieces of papers and some strange liquid around you. Looking behind you, you see an open capsule that seems to have containted the liquid, and presumably yourself. You hear a blaring alarm but also gunshots, multiple footsteps, and other strange noises you can't recognize. Looking down at yourself, you realize you're wearing a white hospital gown. [[Go outside of the room]] *Content warning: Violence, Drugs, Cursing, Death*

You exit the room an enter into the middle of a hallway and are met with chaos. On your, left you see a woman with her arms out in front of her. Her hands are surrounded by some sort of light blue glow as you see shards of ice shoot out of them, into a passageway that you cannot see. Sweat beads down her face as she is obviously struggling with whatever is down that direction. She turns to look at you. "Quickly! Let's get out of here!" She yells. You hear an annoyed grunt to your right causing you to turn and look at the source. You see a man with red hair in a lab coat with some sort of turret in front of him as it shoots down another passageway you cannot see. "Quit messing around and follow me to live!" He yells [[Follow the woman->Resistance]] [[Follow the man->Lab]]

You quickly run towards the woman. As you get closer, you take a look down the passage and see a mob of strange humanoid figues that seem to be made out of some dark purple substance. Some of them with pieces of ice shards sticking out of their body as they continue to walk in your direction. Once you get close enough to the woman, she motions her head towards the door beside her. You get in first and she quickly follows through. Once inside, her eyes glow the same light blue collor as her hands as a wall of ice begins to form infront of the door, blocking it off. You take a look around and realize you're in another [[hallway.]]

You quickly run towards the man. As you get closer, you take a look down the passage and see a mob of strange humanoid figues that seem to be made out of some dark purple substance. Some of them with pieces of ice shards sticking out of their body as they continue to walk in your direction. As you get closer towards the man, he grabs you by the arm and pulls you closer to him. You don't have time to react as you feel a sharp sting in your neck and feel something burst inside of [[you.]]

You enter the data center only to look around and see there really isn't much inside. The only notable objects in the small room is a desk area with single folder on and a computer. You try and acess the computer only to be blocked off by a password protection. Turning your attention towards the folder you open it and flip through the pages. What you notice first is a picture of yourself with the words "Flare" written besides it. Before you could do anything else you hear a high pitched scream. You quickly drop the folder and figure out what to do. [[Quickly leave the Data Center]] [[Hide for a while]]

You quickly enter the garden and take a look at your surroundings. All around are rows of potted plants underneath a dangaling light with sprinklers attached to them. You see two other doors to leave the room. One at the opposite end of you, and one to the right side of the rooom. You hear a door begin to open and quickly duck behind the potted plants. You hear the sound of heels hit the ground as she walks. "Hello?" She says outloud "Is anybody here?" There's a moment of silence as you stay perfectly still and hold in your breath. "I'm part of the resistance." She says [[Stay Quiet]] [[Reveal yourself]]

The only sounds that can be heard from the room is the distant chaos from the rest of the building. The woman lets out a deep sigh. "I had to try" she says The sound of her heels soon begin to envelop the room. As you hear her come closer to your location, you begin to crawl until you hear the sound of another door opening. "Another labrat!" A deep voice yelled. The next thing you know, you see entire rows of plants being knocked over or pushed aside as you see a glimpse of a muscular man rush towards the location of the [[woman.]]

With arms raised up in the air you stand up. "I was told to trust the resistance." You tell her. She smiles and walks up to you. "I'm here to help you." Feeling relieved you put your hands down as she now stands in front of you. In one swift movement, she stabs your neck with a syringe, filled with what you don't know. Your vision starts to plur and you feel yourself getting dizzy. You fall down on your hands and knees as you hear the woman laugh in echo in your mind. You hear distant screaming and the next think you know potted plants and tables are knocked all over the place. You think you hear a voice tell you to stay put but you're not quiet sure. [[Stay where you are]] [[Try and escape]]

Thinking quickly, you grab a discarded potted plant on the ground and throw it at the woman's head. The woman looses her balance and falls on the floor as the pot breaks on impact. Regaining his composure, the man gets up and stomps on the woman's head knocking her out, or possibly killing her you can't tell at this point. He looks at you with a raised eyebrow. "You're the one we need to save?" He asked. "What?" You reply "Dosen't matter, we need to go. The name's Rex by the way." He says and begins to walk through the door in front of you. [[ follow ]]

You don't say anything as you continue to get led the by man. You continue on until you reach the end of the hallway. "This leads outside" he says. "There will be someone out there who is able to get you to safety. I will fight of the horde of voidlings that come our direction. Whatever you do, make it out safely." "What about you?" You can't help but ask. "I died when my love was taken from me." Not wanting to say anything else, you both pass through the door and [[outside]]

You quickly rush back to Rex who faces the horde of voidlings. "What are you doing! If you die here then this was all for nothing!" He yells. As more voidlings come in, he punches them away with such force it causes a minature shockwave. As Rex fights off voidlings in front of him, you also do your best to call out their locations to Rex and also hit with all your might, which dosen't do much. Soon enough, the two of you tire yourselves out as more keep on coming. "Go, please" Rex whispers [[Continue Fighting -> Unlock Power, end R]] [[ Run ->Run Away]]

You run as fast as you can towards the unknown man. You ignore the grunts and cries as Rex struggles to fight. You ignore his agonizing scream as he gets consumed by the voidlings. Once you reach the man, he dosen't say anything as his eyes and hands emminate a glow with a swirling pattern of blue and white. With one swift motion, a portal is opened in front of you. [[ Get to safety -> Resident Ending, All dead]]

"Glad to know you're smart." He begins to walk away as you follow closely behind. He leads you up the hallway and into a room labled [[Cy's Office]]

"Thats a shame" he says and walks closer. You take a step back but he reaches out fast enough and quickly grabs you. He pulls something out from his lab pocket and before you know it something tightly clamps around your neck. "That should do it. It's a shocker." He says simply. He walks away and motions for you to follow. [[Follow]] [[Stay put]]

You patinetly sit on the chair and wait for something to happen. As you wait, you hear a loud banging from the window. You get up and back away from the room and before you know it, the window breaks open as another mob of those dark purple creatures begin to pour in. [[Invasion]]

Once you're certain the man won't be back for a while, you stand up and go towards the pile of papers on the desk. The first piece of information you see is the man's nametag who you learn is named Cy and works as a mechanic at this location. You quickly skim through different papers and see one titled "Flare". You read "Flare has the ability to produce a bright light from their body. This light causes the voidlings to cease to exist. After various experimentation and test we can ..." Before you can read the rest you hear a banging from the window before it breaks open. [[Run out the room ->Invasion]]

You quickly exit the room just in time to see the man exit from another nearby room. His labcoat is shredded and small blobs of the dark purple substance drips off of it. He looks at you momemntarily and before he could say anything one of those creatures grabs a hold of his arm. "Come here! Help me get rid of these voidlings!" He yells. [[Run -> Cy dies]] [[Help the Man ->Cy is saved]]

Not wanting to die. You keep your eyes focused on the woman as she continues to run around and shoot. She glances at you once again and gives a slight nod as if she realizes what you are going to do. "What can I do to stop her!" you yell as you approach the boulder man. Before he could reply, you quickly grab a hold of him. Using the opportunity, the woman shoots at the man's head. Killing him instantly. "Nicely done." She compliments you and [[walks closer.-> Terra dead]]

You only watch as the two continue to fire projectiles at each other. Eventually the man stop and turns to look at you. "If you aren't with me you're against me!" The man yells and another boulder begins to form above him. He goes to throw the boulder at you but you hear the sound of a gunshot and watch as the man falls to the ground with a hole in his head. "Nice one" The woman says and [[walks over to you. -> Terra dead]]

You run back to winter to see her struggling to defend herself against the creatures. Her hands are outstreched in front of her as she continously fires shards of ice. Some miss the horde terribly while others manage to hit. She turns to you. "What are you doing!" She yells "Leave!" [[Go Back]] [[Continue to Help]]

Waisting no time, you run up towards the man on the floor and kick him at the side of his head. Causing him to fall unconcious. The woman turns to you and smiles. "Wow, a smart one" she giggles. "Now we can get back safetly." Before you can ask what that means, you feel a needle pierce your skin on your neck. "Thanks for the help by the way" [[Your vision fades -> Resistance captured]]

You lie awake in your new home, unable to sleep. Where the man took you, was a safe haven for those like you. For those like Winter. For those like Rex. When you got there, it was no celebration. There was no warm welcome. It was a heartbreak as people who they love were gone and in replace was a stranger. If only things could have turned out to be different. If only.

You take a deep breath and close your eyes as you something bubbling up inside of you. A vodiling jumps on you causing you to collapse on the ground. You open your eyes as pain that you never felt before spreads through your entire body You hear Rex scream at you but can't make out the words. [[Give in -> Voidling Won]] [[Release]]

You follow your horde as they roam the lands. You're feeling hungry, and so are the rest of you. Search,Eat, Hunger. The cycle never ends. You look down at yourself. Encased in the dark purple substance that feels comftorble to you. It reminds you of home. It reminds you of the void.

You scream as loudly as you can as you feel a sudden burst deep within you. A tingly sensation flows throughout your body as a bright light envelops all around you. As the blinding light fades, Rex stands next to you with a shocked look. He picks you up and carries you as you struggle to remain awake. What you do notice is there are no voidlings around the both of you anymore. [[Rest-> Resistant Ending, Rex alive]]

You wake up to the sight of white tiles. Looking around, you realize you're in a hospital room. Curtains on both sides of your bed are blocking your sight from any other patients that might be in the room as well. You hear shuffling, voices, and small machines. For the first time in a while, you feel at peace. You sit up and notice iv tubes are connected in your right arm as well. Before you could do anything else, the curtain to your left is pulled back reveiling Rex. You can see bags under his slighty red eyes. He gives you a small smile. "Welcome to the resistance."

"The resistnace are a group of what we call gifted people who help other gifted people. My gift is strength, Winter's was ice manipulation and conjuration. What yours is, I don't know." [["okay.." ->Ask questions]]

" Essentially this is a place where they test and experiment on the gifted." [[hmmm ->Ask questions]]

"Both me and Winter are part of the resitance. We were tasked to save you along with one other person." "Winter was the most eager to go on this mission. She always wanted to prove herself for some reason. I know she's amazing and so does a lot of people, but she always pushes herself." He takes a deep breath. "She was a shy person. Extremely loveable and friendly. It's hard to hate her. She was ... no is the best." [[ I'm sorry ->Ask questions]]

"Those things are monsters that came out of the void. Pretty much like a century or so back, these rifts in space started appearing and voidlings appeared. We call the place where they came from the void because it's just empty. As far as we know atleast." [[Scary ->Ask questions]]

"I don't know. Experiements or something. Not uncommon though. Had a few situations like these." [[unfortunate ->Ask questions]]

You hastily leave the data center. You hear the sounds of the voidlings behind you but make not effort into turning around as you race towards the garden. Before you could get into the door however, a wall of ice immediately blocks your path. Turning around you see Winter, who now has half of her body slowly being covered by the dark purple substance from the other humanoid figures. "Hunger..." She draws out in a voice that no longer sounds like her own. They walk towards you and without another way of escape you close your eyes shut. [[ It's over -> Voidling Won]]

You quietly stay put as you hear the footsteps of the horde slowly fade away. You wait awhile until youre confident that no monster is out there before slowly and carefully walk out into the hallway and into the garden room. [[Quickly walk in ->Garden]]

You stay on the floor and try your best to watch what's going on but you can't. All around you the world is spinning, you hear screams, alarms, and again the sound of the woman's laugh. You struggle to regain your senses but its futile. Eventually, the screaming stops. The sound of heels replace the screams as the woman comes near you. You feel a pinch in your neck and voice softly whisper. "Let's go back to where we were, shall we?" [[Your vision fades to place -> Resistance captured]]

You begin to wobble out of the room to the best of your abilities. You hear screaming further and further away as you stumble into another hallway. You go as fast as you can to the end of the hallway, however there is no exit in sight. You wobble back and fourth as the world spins. You open doors and doors that lead into nowhere. Eventually your vision starts to blacken, you hear the familiar footsetps of the monstrositites as they come closer, and closer, and closer. [[Close your eyes -> Voidling Won]]

When you regain consciousness all you see is white. You try and move but only look down and realize your arms and legs are strapped onto a chair. You try and wiggle free but it's futile. You look around the room only to see no door. The room is a monotone color of white with no objects in sight. You call out, but reply is given. You stay in this room, in this same position for hours. You resort to screaming. The view of white nothingness is driving you crazy. As soon as you think you're going to hit your limit, a door is opened revealing a man in a suit. He gives you a bright smile and walks foward. "Sorry to do this to you a second time" he says. "What do you mean a second time?" You reply. The man simply shrugs with the same bright smile on his face. He reaches into his back pocket to reveal a syringe before promptly injecting you. You scream as you feel immense pain in the back of your head. You can't seem to recall what happened prior to this moment. You don't know who you are. You don't remember why you're screaming

You take one last look at Winter before quickly running back to where you once were [[Enter the garden ->Garden]] [[Enter the Data Center ->Data Center]]

You shake your head and run up to punch a creature that was getting close to Winter. The creature stumbles back and once again attempts to attack only to have a ice shard impailed into, what seems to be, it's face. You and winter take steps back as the horde slowly progresses. You have a gut rumbling inside your stomach as you feel your impending demise awaits you. This rumbling inside of you begins to make you shake more and more. "Please leave. We aren't going to make it" Winter whispers as tears begin to form in her eyes. "You should have left when you had the chance." [[ Encourage Winter to go on]] [[Get rid of your rumbling feeling ->Release the gut feelingz]]

"Winter, listen to me" You begin. "I will run the past them, hit as much as I can to get their attention, and you leave." "There's no way that works." She whispers. "And what about you? You're going to die." You look at her nod. "Make it out of here." Before she could reply, you run towards the large hord of creatures. Immense pain fills every single aspect of your body as you see yourself being consumed by the dark puple substance. The last thing you see before being completely consumed if Winter running away without anything chasing after her. [[Rest knowing you saved a life-> Voidling Won]]

You scream as something deep within you suddenly bursts. A tingly sensation flows throughout your body as a bright light envelops all around you. As the blinding light fades, Winter stands next to you with a shocked look on her face. None of the creatures seem to be around the two of you anymore. You feel your legs give out from underneath you. You're about to fall only to have Winter catch you. She wraps your arm around her should as you lean on her to stand. "Come on, let's go" she says. Both you and Winter make it back into your last location and enter the garden room. [[Into the garden room -> WinterG]]

You run up to get closer to the woman as she is continously spraying the man with some gas. As you get closer she turns and looks at you. In one swift motion, she takes a syringe out of one of her pockets and stabs it into your neck. You stumble back and feel the world around you begin to spiral and noises become more and more distant. You drop down onto your hands and kness as you try and regain your senses but nothing works. After a while, you feel yourself being carried by the man as he starts to run. [[Try to stay awake]]

"Well to start, me and Rex are part of the resistance" Winter said. "We usually do scouting missions but this is my first recovery mission!" she squeeled. "Typically it dosen't go this bad" Rex continued "A void portal was formed nearby but we had no choice but to continue. Winter went to find you while I delt with other issues" Rex grinned. "Enough about the mission" Winter interrupted. "There really is nothing else to say about us. Unless you count us being together." Rex places a small kiss on her forehead. Rex and Winter continue to chat away as they lead you to the end of the hallway. "This leads outside" Rex says. "There will be someone out there who is able to get us to safety. I will try and defund us against the horde of voidlings that come our direction. Whatever you do, make it out safely." Rex looks at Winter first who gave a silent nod and looks at you expectedly. You nod as well and the three of you make your way[[ outside.]]

"Lets just run to the guy!" You yell. "Yea no sh*t!" Yells back Rex as your group begins to run again. Once you reach the man, he dosen't say anything as his eyes and hands emminate a glow with a swirling pattern of blue and white. With one swift motion, a portal is opened in front of your group. [[Make it to safety -> R couples live ending ]]

You quickly move in front of the two as the horde of voidlings comes closer. You scream as loudly as you can as you feel the familiar sudden burst deep within you. A tingly sensation flows throughout your body as a bright light envelops all around you. As the blinding light fades, Rex stands next to you with a shocked look. While Winter only smiles. The once major horde of voidlings in front of you is now gone. Winter quickly rushes next to you to keep you steady, as the three of you calmly walk towards the man who will [[lead you to safety.]]

You wake up in your bed in your new home. This is the place where people like you belong. People like both Winter and Rex who helped save you from who knows what. You hear a knock at your door breaking you away from your thoughts. You go and open the door to be greated by both Rex and Winter. "Hiya!" Winter exclaims "I realized I still haven't thanked you yet for saving my life. I mean, we did save you from the facility but you still did save my life." "What she means is, come get lunch with us." Rex interrupts her. You can't help but smile at the two. After all that happened, you do get a happy ending after all.

You watch as the scenary changes from the tiled ceiling of the building into the clear blue sky. You hear shouting, screaming, and other strange noises that you became familiar to. One of those weird humanoid creatures jumps onto Rex's back causing him to slow down. You only watch as he continues to run as the creature's dark purple substance begins to spread on his shoulder. You get dropped and you watch as Rex opens his mouth to scream, but it sounds so [[distant.]]

You wake up to the sight of white tiles. Looking around, you realize you're in a hospital room. Curtains on both sides of your bed are blocking your sight from any other patients that might be in the room as well. You hear shuffling, voices, and small machines. One at the opposite end of you, and one to the right side of the rooom. You hear a door begin to open and in walks a woman wearing the same labcoat that the other man had. "Oh, resistance?" [[She asks.]]

She turns to look at you and let's out a relieved sigh. "My name is Winter, I'm part of the resistance. I know you have a lot of questions right now but save them for later and follow me." Before you could even say a word, Winter walks off leaving you to chase after her. As you walk down the hallway, the wall next to you is smashed open revealing another horde of those humanoid creatures you saw eaerlier. One in particular hulking above the rest. "Go! Get to safety! I'll take care of them! Whatever you do, trust in the resistance!" She yells Following orders, you run further down the hallway until you reach the end of it. There is a sign on the door in front of you which reads out "Garden". The door to your left has a sign that reads out "Data center". [[Enter the Data Center ->Data Center]] [[Enter the Garden ->Garden]] [[Go back to Winter]]

Winter didn't bother responding as she used her free hand to send ice shards at the woman. The woman ducks out of the way before reaching into her coat and pulls out a flask and throws it at both you and winter. The flask explodes in front of you two causing you two to seperate. You pull hold yourself up on a table just in time to see a muscled man walk in from behind the woman. The man quickly charges in,ignoring all of the tables and equipment is his path, and tackles the woman onto the ground. You can only watch as she takes out some sort of spray bottle and begins to use it on her attacker. A pink gas is sprayed at the man. The man lets out a pained scream and falls onto his back as he clutches his eyes. The woman stands above him and continues to spray the man with the gas. "Science bitch!" She yells. You turn to find Winter still recovering from the explosive flask. [[Throw a plant at the woman ->Help from a distance]] [[Try and push the woman ->Help up close]]

You quickly stand up to avoid being covered underneath the knocked over tables and equipment. Stabalizing your senses, you see the woman being grappled by the man on the floor. You can only watch as she takes out some sort of spray bottle and begins to use it on her attacker. A pink gas is sprayed at the man. The man lets out a pained scream and falls onto his back as he clutches his eyes. The woman stands above him and continues to spray the man with the gas. "Science bitch!" She [[yells.]]

She turns to look at you and gives you an annoyed look. "I don't care who you are, but hurry up and help me!" She yells at you. It's just now you notice that she is wearing a similar labcoat to the man you saw earlier. the one with the red hair and the turret. [[Listen to her -> Help Aid the doctor]] [[Help Aid the Man]]

"Did you by any chance see a girl around here with white hair and like sometimes glowing hands?" He asks. "Do you mean Winter?" "Yea, so you do know her! Where is she?" He asks eagerly. You shut your mouth, not knowing. Your causes him to physically stop. His hands clenched tightly before slowly releasing it. "oh" he lowly and continues walking [[Ask questions]] [[Continue in silence]]

The sceneary in front of you is nothing like you expected. You're in a deseart, surrounded by nothing but hard, dry sand. How this building was built here is beyond your comprehension. What seems like an endless ammount of, voidlings are surrounding the two of you. In the distance ahead of you, you see a sillouette of a man who is waving at your direction. You assume he'll take you to safety. You and Rex both run straight towards him, drawing in the attention of the voidlings. They run towards the both of you, the ones who got in your way have been pushed asside by Rex. Soon enough, one jumped onto Rex slowing him down, then another, then another. Rex grabs them and throws them off of him as he continues to run but eventually stops. "Run!" He yells at you. He turns his attention to the horde. [[Stay with Rex->Fight the horde of voidlings]] [[Run Away]]

You scream as loudly as you can as you feel a sudden burst deep within you. A tingly sensation flows throughout your body as a bright light envelops all around you. When you open your eyes, none of the creatures are in sight. The man only smiles and drags you through a nearby door. He presses numbers on a keybad by the door. Through the doorway, you catch eyes with the woman. "No!" she screams and runs at you but before she could get close, a metal reinforced barrior was placed around the [[doorway.]]

Winter pulls you up and wraps your arm around your shoulder and you both begin to run. You and Winter stop once you see a man, he dosen't say anything as his eyes and hands emminate a glow with a swirling pattern of blue and white. With one swift motion, a portal is opened in front of your group. Winter drags you in. You look back behind you just in time to see Rex quickly being overrun by the humanoid creatures. [[Your vision fades ->Resitant ending, Rex dies]]

"Yes, he is" Winter says as she stands up. The man quickly rushes over to Winter and engulfs her in a hug. Winter hugs back as if she's afraid to let him go. You stand there akwardly for a few secounds before they pull away. "This is Rex" Winter introduces the man. The dosen't say anything to you as he continues talking to Winter and walks out the room with her by his side. You quickly rush to try and catch up. "Anything you'd like to ask?" Rex says [[Ask questions -> Resistance questions 2]] [[Don't ask anything -> Silence Couple]]

"Before we begin, will you be complacent?" the man asks [["Yes", you promise him->Cooperate]] [["What? I don't even know you"->Resist]]

Once you enter the room the first thing you notice in the large office space is the singular desk in front of a set of a pair of chairs. On the desk is a pile of neetly piled papers and behind the desk is a row of filing cabinets. On the rightside of the room is a window with curtains covering the outside view. The man moves behind the desk, opens a drawer, and pulls out what looks to be a phone. "Stay put, I need to make a phone call." He says and leaves the room. You wait for a while until you slowly tip toe your way towards the door. You slowly and stealthfully open the door and see nobody. Taking your time as you walk out, you crouch walk down the hallway which eventually turns into a sprint until you reach the end. At the end of the hallway is a door that is labeled as "Hub". [[Go inside ->Hub, Cy Dead]]

Fearing for your life, you turn around and run as you hear Cy scream. Screaming at you, in pain, or something else you don't know. You just run. You run as quickly as you can until the the hallway comes to an end. At the end of the hallway, there is a door labled "Hub". [[Go in ->Hub, Cy Dead]]

You quickly run towards the man and try to pull the creatures, which are presumably called voidlings, off of him. The man pulls a syringe out of his labcoat and injects it into you. You scream as you feel the same sudden burst deep within you. A tingly sensation flows throughout your body as a bright light envelops all around you. Once you open your eyes and realize the voidlings are gone, the man grabs you by the arm and quickly drags you down the hallway until you reach the end to a room titled "Hub." [[Go in -> Hub 2]]

"The resistnace are a group of what we call gifted people who help other gifted people. My gift is strength, Winter's is ice manipulation and conjuration. What yours is, I don't know." [["okay.." -> Resistance questions 2]]

Once you enter the room, you are greeted with immediate chaos. The area seemed to be similar to a lobby, with a high ceiling and open space. On one side of the room is a man wearing a green camo outfit with boulders floating around besides him. He hurls a boulder at the other end of the room causing it to break above a woman's head, narrowly missing her. The woman is in a black suit carrying a pistol in her hand. She galnces at you before looking back at the man and shooting him with bullets as he dodges [[away.-> Hub cy dead 2]]

"Help me! He's tearing this building apart! If he continues we are all dead!" The woman yells. "No! Help me get revenge on this woman fellow gifted!" The man yells as he throws another boulder at her. [[ Help the Buisness Woman]] [[ Help the boulder man ]] [[ Stay away from Danger ]]

"The name is Monet" She says and gives you a warm smile. "I'm guessing you must be Flare, follow me." she says and goes towards a corner of the room. You comply and do as she says which leads you to an elevator. You both wait patiently for the door to open and get in. [[ Ask Monet questions]] [[ Sit in Silence -> Follow in Silence]]

You wait patiently as a smooth jazz cover of *Rhythm of the Night* by El DeBarge plays. Once the elevator comes to a stop and opens, you [[walk out -> Rooftop]]

You walk out the elevator and notice you're on the roof of the building. Looking at the scenary you notice you're in a deseart, surrounded by nothing but hard, dry sand. How this building was built here is beyond your comprehension. Also on the rooftop you notice that there is a helicopter that Monet seems to be going towards. You quickly follow as she gets on. [[Get in ->take off.]]

"Oh look over there" Monet points outside of the window. You look over to see what she is looking at and watch as you make out two figures limply walking over towards a man as a horde of voidlings approach. "They came here with that crazy man from earlier." Monet says and looks at you then smiles. "I want to know what you would do." She takes out her gun and places it on your lap. She then proceeds to open the door of the helicopter. "Kill them or let them leave?" [[Kill them]] [[Let them leave]]

You grab a hold of the pistol she gave you and take aim. You aim first at the man that's standing still and shoot him in the head. As his body falls, you hear a high pitched scream and turn towards the source. You recognize the woman as the girl you originally saw when you woke up. You quickly kill her as well as her companion. "Well done." Monet smiles at you and closes the door. She takes the gun away from you and places an arm on your shoulder affectionately. "Welcome to the buisness Flare." You smile back and look out the window as the building you were once in gets further and further away from your view.

You shake your head and close the door to the helicopter. "I can't. It's wrong." You say. Monet gives you a soft, sad smile and looks at you with pitty. "A shame. I was hoping you would be more useful in action rather than tests." Before you could elaborate she promptly takes out a needle and jams it into your neck. Your vision blurs and your knocked down sideways onto an adjacent seat. 'You survived.' You think to yourself. 'But at what cost.' Your vision fades into darkness and stays like that for eternity.

"It's simply what we call you." Monet says and shrugs. "Is there a problem with that?" [["I guess not" -> Ask Monet questions]]

"Oh you know about those." Monet trails off. "Well, voidlings are creatures that come from the void. The void is classified as a seperate dimension from ours. One where there is no light, no noise, no smell, just pure nothingness. Tears through space have appeared approximately two centuries ago that connect the void to earth. They invaded and this is how we live now." [["oh"-> Ask Monet questions]]

"That's classified." She says quickly and sternly. [[you nod -> Ask Monet questions]]

She simply shrugs. [[weird -> Ask Monet questions]]

"Well, I'm one of the higher ups of the people in charge of this facility. There were others but they left before this entire 'thing' happened." Monet says. "That's all you really need to know, for now." [["okay..." -> Ask Monet questions]]

Deciding to help the crazed man. You keep your eyes focused on him as he continues to hurl boulders at the woman. He glances at you once again and gives a slight nod as if he realizes what you are going to do. "What can I do to stop him!" you yell as you approach the buisness woman. "Smart move" She replys and gives you a gun from her back pocket. Using your opportunity, your promptly shoot her in the leg and the man uses this opportunity to [[crush her with a boulder.]]

"Nice one!" The man says and walks up to you. "My name is Terra and I'm part of the resistance. Just follow me and I can get you out of here." He says and goes off into a corner of the room where there are elevators. You both patiently wait before the doors open and you guys get in. [[Ask Terra questions]] [[Wait Patiently]]

As you get near Terra's location. You see what he's looking at. In the distance ahead of you, you see a sillouette of a man who is waving at your direction. You watch as a brown glow surrounds Terra's arm and eyes and a rocky bridge begins to form causing a path to be made between the two of you and a man. [[go towards the man]]

Once you reach the man, he dosen't say anything as his eyes and hands emminate a glow with a swirling pattern of blue and white. With one swift motion, a portal is opened in front of your group. Before you go in however, Rex reaches into his pocket and pulls out a remote with a singular button on it. Without missing a beat, Winter quickly [[knocks the remote out of his hands. ]]

"What are you doing!" She yells at him. "Blowing up the facility. Who knows what they do in there." Rex calmy responds "No we are not" Winter grabs a hold of Rex and forces him through the portal [[You run up and press the button -> facility explode]] [[You go through the portal -> R couples live ending ]]

Once you reach the man, he dosen't say anything as his eyes and hands emminate a glow with a swirling pattern of blue and white. With one swift motion, a portal is opened in front of the two of you. [[Walk through the portal]]

A few days passed ever since you escaped the lab. You made it to the resistance's compound, where they help people like you. Apparently the lab you were in was used to experiment on people like you, those with extraordinary abilities. The resistance calls people with your talent the gifted. As you walk around the compound and watch as people around you live their lives in relative happiness. You smile as you realize you too, will continue to live your life in happiness alongside them.

"Cy! Kill him!" The woman yells. "Yea, yea." The man replies and throws a small plated object on the ground. The plated object begins to unfold itself, forming a turret that continously shoots the boulder man, killing him. "Nice job." The woman says and [[walks towards the two of you.]]

"The name is Monet" She says at you and gives you a warm smile. "I'm guessing that must be Flare." she asks motioning towards you. The man who's name is apparently Cy simply nods. "Well good job dealing with that nuisance, let's get out of here." Monet walks towards a corner of the room and follow. Your group gets closer to an elevator and wait patiently for the door to open and get in. [[Ask Monet Questions]] [[Wait in silence]]

Your vision blurs and you begin to lean on Cy who's sitting next to you. You try and fight but you're unable to gather your strength to properly do any damage. 'You survived.' You think to yourself. 'But at what cost.' Your vision fades into darkness and stays like that for eternity.

He leads you up the hallway and into a room labled [[Cy's Office -> Cy Office v2]]

He begins to walk away as you stay put only for the collar to activate sending electricity all throughout your body. You scream and collapse on your knees and the man walks back up towards you. "You done?" He asks? [[Follow]]

Once you enter the room the first thing you notice in the large office space is the singular desk in front of a set of a pair of chairs. On the desk is a pile of neetly piled papers and behind the desk is a row of filing cabinets. On the rightside of the room is a window with curtains covering the outside view. You patinetly sit on the chair and wait for something to happen. As you wait, you hear a loud banging from the window. You try and get up only for the shock collar to activate, causing you to scream and collapse back on the chair. The window breaks open as another mob of those dark purple creatures begin to pour in. [[ Attenmpt to run away ]] [[ Stay put ]]

You wait for a while and then slowly begin to stand up from the chair. As you stand up, the shock coller activates causing you to collapse in your chair again. Apparently you can't move from the seat without it activating. You try and tug against the collar but nothing happens. [[Wait -> Invasion fake decision]]

You attempt to stand up despite the pain the collar sends throughout your body. You scream as you attempt to run towards the door but don't make it that far. As you get place your hand on the door, the pain gets too much to bear as your vision starts to fade away. The last thing you see is the door getting higher and higher as you fall on the floor. [[Sleep -> Voidling Won]]

With your only option to stay put, you close your eyes not wanting to see your impending doom. You wait and wait as you hear the creatures come closer to you. And scream once you feel the immense pain all around you. [[Scream for the final time -> Voidling Won]]
